Itoman City Hall
Located at the southern tip of the main island of Okinawa, this is the first facility in the newly reclaimed land development planned as a governmental and cultural hub.
The façade is covered with louvers and perforated panels designed to shade from the fierce sun and the southern elevation and roof are fitted with solar panels combining to increase the energy savings aspect of this building.
the huge space under the louvered southern eaves continues the interior atrium to create a city hall open to all.
