Taizhou Enze Medical Center

The Taizhou Hospital boasts a history of over 100 years and forms the core for a medical services group based in Zhejiang Province. This Project is the nucleus for advanced medical services for the Group, and is composed of a 100 bed General Hospital, Transmittable Disease Ward, staff housing and education block.

In order to provide global standard medical; services, the Client requested introduction of Japanese medical know how in facility design. However, we avoided a simple copy of Japanese hospitals by carrying out a study of Chinese medical system, culture and practices and attempting to find a balance with Japanese design principles through discussions with the Client.

The General Hospital is designed to flexibly adopt to growth of the hospital and the rapid advancement of medical technology by following staged construction of four stages. The 1st stage has been completed at this time.
