think++seminar

When imagining societies, cities and architecture of the future, one must have a basic knowledge of surrounding natural environments and ever-changing technological advancements. In hope of creating opportunities to envision the future together, Nihon Sekkei invites you to the think++Seminar, which is held twice a year and led by notable guests from various fields.

The fifth seminar of think ++ human & technology [Seismic disaster risks and city planning in “the era of earth’s greatest tectonic shifts” – preparation for Nankai Trough Earthquake]

The Japan islands have entered “the era of earth’s greatest tectonic shifts” for the first time since the nineth century.

It is predicted that we will be hit by the Nankai Trough Earthquake, Tokyo near-field earthquake and an eruption of Mt. Fuji in the near future, however, the fear of these events can be moderated with knowledge of the tectonic shifts and disaster prevention.

Disaster-proof city planning and preparation of a BCP (Business Continuity Plan) are crucial.
