Kanazawa Medical University Hospital
This was a rebuilding project for the Kanazawa Medical University Hospital, which boasts the greatest number of sickbeds in the Hokuriku region at 1,020 beds. Its floor plan matches up with the departmental organization, which centralizes patients by ailment. The apertures we introduced really maximize outlook thanks to the advantageous site conditions. We also used these openings to utilize natural light, making for soft, bright waiting areas and interior space. We also paid sufficient attention to disaster prevention, employing base isolation systems and other prevention measures.
