Hopital de la Mere et l'Enfant-Lagune

The project site is part of HOMEL (Hopital de la Mere et l'Enfant-Lagune) along the lagoon located roughly in the center of Cotonou City. The project is to demolish some existing facilities that have become too old to function and build a new 3 storied hospital ward building to house obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and neonatology wards, x-ray department, pediatrics outpatients' department, a one-storied maternity ward building and facilities for related equipment in the same site. The aim of the project is to serve as a model for maternal and child medical care centers in the Republic of Benin as well as providing safe and appropriate healthcare for pregnant and expectant women, neonatal infants and children.
